As demand for hospital treatment outstrips capacity it is no surprise that delivering care has led to significant backlogs and longer waits for patients. Here at Bionical Health our service redesign team are able to deliver quality improvement that provides independent pathway assessment and realignment to address inefficiencies that impact the current NHS backlog or ability to deliver key targets.

Our expert team are qualified in service redesign and will work with NHS teams as single or multiple trusts to complete independent pathway mapping, qualitative experiences from patients and staff, review capacity and demand and deliver a PDSA (plan do study act) that releases bottlenecks to maximise existing resources address capacity or provide evidence for business case compilation.

We are proud to deliver this service knowing we have a positive impact on the NHS through creation of streamlined patient journeys, efficient use of staff skills and releasing bottlenecks that can negatively impact on patients accessing treatment whilst leaving a legacy the NHS can continue once the process has been completed.

One of the considerations we initially had was around the need for our customers to register with two companies for the one service and whether this would create problems and be seen as additional complexity for them. However, we are now more than a year into the ‘new’ service with Bionical and are delighted with how smoothly everything has run. We have found Bionical to be very customer, and solution-focused.
